Iraqi Technicians sometimes flatly disavowed the truth. In one instance, a UN inspector had to reprimand a worker in a university lab who refused to acknowledge possession of a strain of anthrax that was found by the inspectors (the strain could be used only for making a vaccine, not a bioweapon). |

As the election season begins to heat up, truthout has begun pursuing interviews with the seven Democratic candidates for President. Invitations have been extended to the Kerry campaign, and we have begun to reach out to the rest of the field. The first candidate to accept our invitation was Governor Howard Dean of Vermont. We at truthout are grateful to him for taking time out of his busy schedule to speak with us. Dean is the only Presidential who was againt the war in Iraq, and has a chance of winning. |
