Bread and Roses Eventsâ sponsored by the Socialist Forum either alone or in conjunction with other organizations. This one was dedicated to the memory of Stan Weir, a longshoreman, long-time labor activist, writer, and labor activist. Weir, who died about two years ago, was a professor at ILIR in the late 1960s and early 1970s. A few of the 60 to 70 participants in the forum had been students of Weir, either through his formal instructional role at the ILIR or in his less formal influence in the labor community in this area |

Labor Dept. Is Rebuked Over Pact With Wal-Mart |

The report said that in granting Wal-Mart the 15-day notice, the Wage and Hour Division violated its own handbook. It added that agreeing to let Wal-Mart jointly develop news releases about the settlement with the department violated Labor Department policies. |

I have noted my article,'The Pope's Misconceptions About Conception And Science History',went missing from oxford.indymedia news about as fast as I published there.It was first published,for the record,in September of 1987 when the pope visited San Francisco,California.The pope's visit,coincided,like a bad joke,with the bicentenial of the U.S. Constitution that supposedly,ha ha,allows for free speech and separation of church and state. |

The evidence shows, then, that from early 2002 to at least March 2003, the President and his aides conspired to defraud the United States by intentionally misrepresenting intelligence about Iraq to persuade Congress to authorize force, thereby interfering with Congress's lawful functions of overseeing foreign affairs and making appropriations, all of which violates Title 18, United States Code, Section 371. |
