Anti-War, Anti-Racist Effort Holds First Meeting |

Over 100 community members gathered for the first meeting of AWARE on Sunday evening. People representing numerous organizations, plus individuals interested in taking action, gathered at the University YMCA to share ideas and resources for demonstrating resistance to militarism following the Sep. 11 tragedies. The next meeting will take place on October 6, at the same location. |

CNN headline news is reporting that there is "one anti-war banner" in DC. That is the only coverage of the protests that I've seen on CNN. |
