In a few short years there will be a united world. This has to be. Only a world that works as one can protect the itself from being raped and destroyed by plundering invaders from other worlds. But realize this and realize it fast... Those who are clamoring the hardest and the loudest for a one world government are the very ones who have invaded and plundered your world. |

Great opinion pieces like this must be the reason why the News-Gazette thinks that Molly's column is too hot to handle, thus they no longer carry it. Now we get Ann Coulter from them instead. The News-Gazette carried an article on Khalilzad's appointment on Jan. 2. The AP piece conveniently omitted any mention of his close and on-going relationship with Unocal, the oil company that wants to build a pipeline across Afghanistan. This is typical of much of the US coverage of the real reasons behind the war with Afghanistan. Now that the Taliban are out of the way, look for the pipeline deal to be cemented soon. Let's be forthright--oil, and the profits it brings to Bush's campaign contributors, is still the main motivation behind US policy in the region. |
