Senator McCain (R-AZ), a sponsor of the bill, stated that after 2 years
and 2.2 million dollars of taxpayer money were spent, the study reaffirmed
the FCC's original conclusions in favor of a full low power FM radio
service. "I think we ought to send the National Association of
Broadcasters a bill for that study," said McCain. |

Luckily, before they voted, a good many senators considered the words of these veterans, and of Gary May, the chairman the national group Veterans Defending the Bill of Rights, who said. "I lost both of my legs in combat while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. I challenge anyone to find someone who loves this country, its people and what it stands for more than I. It offends me when I see the flag burned or treated disrespectfully. But, as offensive and painful as this is, I still believe that those dissenting voices need to be heard." |

Those political parties that want to prove themselves patriotic, will really desire to see India a developed country. So, it is necessary that all the political parties, instead of walking on different paths, must decide to elect the president unanimously in the 2007’s president election. While it won't settle things for a few die-hard know-nothings, the US Surgeon General's latest warning on the linkage between second-hand tobacco smoke and damage to health should put to rest any arguments to the contrary that recently passed smoking bans in Champaign and Urbana are necessary. |
