The times are calling for a refocus to active political movements. it would be a welcome change from the current acceptance of the war. I just hope that another celebrity doesn't change his name, pulling all of our attention from the importance of dissenting patriotism. |

Meet at Dupont Circle at 11:30am (where the Mobilization for Global Justice feeder march will also be meeting) and look for a banner and black flags. They can be ignored or marginalized because they don't vote, have no influence save for a few advocates, and don't represent any political threat to the controlling party.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the number of citizens living below the poverty line in 2004 - 37 million - rose for the fourth year in a row. The numbers have not declined since Mr. Bush became President. |

While a boycott of Tyson products is likelt to get their attention, it unfortunetaly is unlikley to eliminate the endemic racism of Amercain culture. Constant vigilance is needed, but it seems the US press is letting us down again and we have to rely on reaidng the Bristish papers to find out what is really going on in the US. |
