Vietnam and Iraq were both wars of choice. And they are also similar in that deceit and misrepresentation was employed by the U.S. government, first to engage U.S. forces and then to keep them there.

Take Back the Night March and Rally, 4/30/2004, 7pm, West Side Park, Champaign

On April 30th in downtown Champaign, join us to publicly protest
the conditions that cause women to feel unsafe when alone at
night on the streets. The rally begins at 7pm, is open to everyone
regardless of gender, and will include speakers from the U of I
campus and the community. The march starts at 8pm. As the march is
an opportunity for women to come together to symbolically reclaim
“the night,” it is open to women and transgender persons only. A
men’s dialogue about ways in which men can work to end violence
against women will be held simultaneously with the march. Child
care will be provided by CAPP.
