IMC Treasurer - Job Description
Position Status: OPEN
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per week
Pay: $250 monthly stipend
Position Responsibilities:
Is a member of the Board.
Works with Bookkeeper and Finance Working Group (FWG) to manage the bookkeeping of the organization using Quickbooks.
Administers fiscal matters of the IMC (e.g., contracts, bank accounts, deposits, disbursements).
Provides annual budget to the steering group for members' approval.
Ensures development and FWG review of financial policies and procedures.
Maintains knowledge of the IMC & commitment to its mission and goals.
Understands financial accounting for nonprofit organizations.
Ensures that financial reports are made available on a timely basis.
Handles taxes and necessary organizational paperwork.
Facilitates and review the annual audit.
Handles fiscal sponsorships.
Reads and responds to Finance listserv
Attends bi-monthly FWG meetings
Maintains active involvement in the organization.

IMC Bookkeeper
Position Status: Open
Time Commitment: 10 hours per week
Pay: $10 per hour
Position Responsibilities:
Manages and records all IMC financial transactions using Quickbooks,
including bills, invoices, rent, donations, disbursements, etc.
Communicates with IMC workgroups and fiscally sponsored groups regarding
their finances.
Ensures that financial reports are made available on a timely basis.
Works with Space Coordinator regarding rental income and invoicing.
Works with Treasurer and Finance Working Group (FWG).
Reads and responds to Finance listserv.
Attends bi-monthly FWG meetings.
Maintains active involvement in the organization.

IMC Membership Coordinator
Position Status: OPEN
Time Commitment: 2 hours per week
Pay: Proportinal to Membership income
Position Responsibilities:
Publicizes and promotes IMC membership opportunites through various
media: flyers, postcards, radio, news, etc.
Recieves and enters membership form data using Excel
Notifies members of expired mememberships monthly
Maintains member services information (e.g. public terminals, resources,
service opportunities, workgroup needs)
Coordinates member-volunteers with the workgroups that need them
Coodinates member events (e.g. potlucks, etc) and orientations
Attends monthly Steering Group meetings.
Works with Finance Working Group and Fundraising Coordinator
Maintains active involvement in the organization.

IMC Building Manager Job Description
Position Status: Currently Filled
Time Commitment: 10 hrs/week on average
Pay: $12 per hour
Space: 202 South Broadway is a 30,000 square foot building in downtown Urbana; however, non-IMC building tenants are responsible for maintenance of their own spaces. Along with general building oversight, the IMC Property Manager will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining common areas and the IMC space.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- clean and maintain common areas, bathrooms, and IMC Space
- observe and coordinate correction of unsafe and/or potentially costly conditions needing repair by the Space Working Group
- coordinate building access by contractors and vendors
- be the main contact for tenants and handle rent issues
- clear ice and snow, oversee maintenance of exterior areas
- be the emergency contact point and available by cell phone
- proficiency with e-mail
- other tasks as assigned by the Space Working Group
The candidate should be someone who is a self-starter who takes initiative and will actively collaborate with the Space Working Group to implement policies and building maintenance. Many of the assigned tasks are routine and repetitive, but the candidate must be able to prioritize duties as needed on a day to day basis in order to maintain a safe and clean building.
Oversight: The IMC Property Manager is overseen by the Space Working Group or a specific subgroup specifically empowered by the Space Working Group. The Property Manager is expected to incorporate constructive input from IMC Staff and building tenants, but does not report to them.

IMC Fundraising Coordinator
Position Status: Open
Time Commitment: variable
Pay: Proportinal to Fundraising Income
Position Responsibilities:
Maintains Community Shares status by attending monthly CS meetings and
generating more 'shares' points
Organizes fundraising events and initatives
Maintains donation jars in community stores (collecting bi-weekly,
keeping IMC fliers stocked)
Works with Membership coordinator and Finance Working Group
Attends monthly Steering Group meetings.
Maintains active involvement in the organization.

responsible.
