WILL AM 580 is reporting that Socialist Equality Party candidate for Illinois State Senate in the 52nd district, Joe Parnarauskis, has won his court challenge and his name ordered to be placed on the ballot for the November election.
Despite demonstrating everything legally required under Illinois' onerous election law to qualify, Paraunauskis had been blocked by Democrats from having his name certified after the state election staff had recommned a decision in his favor on challenges to his nominating petitions.
The 52nd State Senate District covers large parts of Champaign and Vermillion Counties. Parnarauskis is running against Judy Myers (Republican) and Mike Frerichs (Democrat). |
