A double whammy of greenhouse warming and urban heat island is increasing overnight summer temperatures in big cities.

June through August average daily minimum temperature in 2006 at Minneapolis were the highest on average since official began in 1891, topping over topping the previous high set in 1933. To view the temperature plot please go to:
