CNN to Al Jazeera: Why Report Civilian Deaths? |

CNN's argument that a bigger story than civilian deaths is "what the Iraqi insurgents are doing" to provoke a U.S. "response" is startling. Especially in light of official U.S. denials of civilian deaths, video footage of women and children killed by the U.S. military is evidence that needs to be seen. |

Anyone know if the reason why "The Paper" is closing is simply to boot some staff members? I've heard that pretty much the same staff (minus a couple folks) will be hired on to a new paper run by (mostly) the same folks. |

What is amazing about all this is that under discussion is a policy that could easily lead to another disaster of the scale of 9/11. It is hard to find a parallel for such a negligently reckless foreign policy in recent American history. |
