Modified: 06 Nov 2001 |
The measure that is currently working its way through the US Congress in the name of economic stimulus is a massive handout to the wealthiest sections of the population. Current rating: 0 05 Nov 2001

US Rep. Tim Johnson voted FOR this bill. You wouldn't know it from reading the News-Gazette, though. The usual "Roll Call" record of important votes that appears in the Sunday B section was curiously missing the Sunday after (Oct. 28) this important vote. If I had supported Tim Johnson, I'd be embarrassed about it, too. Why is a newly formed splinter faction of the original Green party in the US since 1986 playing dirty politics and placing sectarian differences above loss of civil liberties?? Instead of rallying around and supporting a fellow Green and ANYONES loss of civil liberties they're busy attacking and putting out misleading propaganda.Shame on them!!! |
