The puppetistas have just finished their performance and the police have restricted access to exists from the penned in protest area. Thousands of protestors now need to walk over half a mile if they wish to access the local IMC, the SOAW office, the media office, or any of the hospitality houses set up along the street next to the protest site. |

The day went well, and the concert was great. Susan Sarandon actually showed up and gave a speech. The benefit concert will be tonight, and the funeral procession will be tomorrow. It's been great to see so many local people - IMC, AWARE, and the Catholic Worker House are all represented. I'd like to gave major props to the Atlanta Indy Media Center for making this connection possible.
The photos should hopefully be online in a few days. |

BTW, there's been a helicopter repeatedly flying low over the crowd. I'm not too sure about its origin. It's been a little strange, but not too bad. |

Many thanks for your hard work and dedication, your commitment to a noble effort, and your perseverance in an effort to achieve peace and eradicate oppressive, illegal institutions.

Thanks! It turned out that the helicopter overhead was courtesy of the Georgia State Police. The benefit concert was wonderful - we saw Dave Lippman, the Prince Myshkins, and a lot of other great bands. Today is the big protest and funeral procession - hope to have more on that later. We're all here, and I'm on courtesy of the Atlanta IMC again. Big shout out to them! |
