The Anti-War Anti-Racism Effort sponsored 2 vans which took 12 people to protest the School of the Americas in Columbus, GA last night. This morning Amy called in with a report on the scene at the rally. |

This early report reveals that so far the many legal wins of the SOA Watch group are visible. Police are not putting people through metal detectors as they did last year, because a judge declared that action unconstitutional. The military police are not blaring music over their loudspeakers to drown out the protests. There is however a large chain link fence around the protest area, law enforcement's latest tax wasting eyesore.
The scene is peaceful, the mood is high, the numbers are many. |

Make that 14. In addition, there were also sightings of the Urbana-spawned Prince Myshkins and the local contingent of the Beehive Design Collective. I will post some pictures of the q00l puppets from Saturday later today. |
