All these pictures are from the Roost Stage where the acoustic acts were. Hundreds more fest-goers enjoyed the rock bands and feature films that were featured on the big stage in the next room. Approximately $1700 was raised for the Independent Media Center at IMCfest 2003. |

Notes from last week's "war on terrorism" -- prepared
for the AWARE meeting, Sunday, September 07, 2003.
[AWARE -- Anti-War Anti-Racism Effort -- is a group of people from C-U and environs who are opposed to the policies of the US government -- neo-imperialism and favoritism of the rich. We hold open meetings every Sunday 5-7pm at the IMC (218 W. Main St., Urbana) to discuss the situation and plan a variety of responses. When the leaders of Europe and the UN meet to discuss sending troops to Iraq they must remember that the hands of the clock have been turned back to Munich 1938. It is understood that behind the scenes the leaders of Europe are facing extreme pressure and are being offered incredible bribes to comply with the request. However, they must realize they are dealing with a madman and a regime full of lunatics that are willing to risk nuclear war for their own personal gain. |
