Urbana K-Mart Not on the List of Stores to Close |

This morning the Kmart corporation announced that they will be closing 284 stores nationwide and cutting 22,000 jobs in the process. The Champaign and Urbana Kmarts are not amongst those stores. |

ANGELS OF PUBLIC INTEREST DESCEND ON FCC |

On Friday, March 22, the "Angels of Public Interest" descended upon the FCC headquarters in Washington DC. While the angels had hoped to enter the FCC building and speak to either Michael Powell himself, or a representative, they were blocked by police who had a very hostile and unwelcoming demeanor throughout the day. A democratic country? Yeah, Right!!
