a Panel Discussion

Saturday, February 22nd, 12:00 Noon

First Floor, Illinois Disciples Foundation

Come learn about the war on Iraq from the perspective of veterans, labor
activists, local government officials, and educators!

Panelists include:

the War (VVAW), a national veterans' organization that was founded in
New York City in 1967 to mobilize veterans to fight for peace with

to oppose war in the Gulf in 1990-1991.

* Joe Miller is a national coordinator of Vietnam Veterans Against
the War (VVAW) and a member of the Champaign-Urbana chapter.

* Danielle Chynoweth is the Urbana City Council Alderwoman who
introduced the successful council resolution opposing war against
Iraq. Danielle is also a member of the Anti-War, Anti-Racism Effort
(AWARE).

* Brooke Anderson is a co-coordinator of the Progressive Resource/Action
Cooperative.

The Progressive Resource/Action Cooperative is a multi-tactical
organization working on issues of social justice. The PRC meets weekly

Is it really a discusion when all you our going to do is pat yourselfs on the back for blindly being againist the use of force, no matter what the situation is? My advice, do something useful, stay home and play PS2.

Sorry, Ron. Call us what you will. But there were millions of us "backpatters" in the streets nationally and internationally this past weekend demanding an end to Bush war and his continuing meglomania. The resistance movement will only grow. I hope it ends with Bush and his cohorts confined in 4 by 8 foot cages for the rest of their lives, convicted for war crimes against humanity. We can't achieve this by staying home. PS2 will play out in the streets of our nation and the world. Stay tuned....
