New Signs Point To Prospect For Peace |

AWARE-istas displayed 50 newly created signs at the 2-8-2003 instance of the weekly Prospect for Peace event. These pictures, from a video capture done while driving past the event, show some of the new creations.
Prospect for Peace happens every Saturday from 2 to 3:30 pm at the corner of Prospect and Marketview Streets in Champaign, Illinois. Join in!

Keep up your good works to defeat Bush war in the Persian Gulf and Middle East. The artist's rendering (above)of Sec. of State Powell's evidence to the Security Council is indeed a rendering of Bush's policies at home and abroad- pure crap! Let the pooper-scoopers of the world unite!! We must stop/resist Bush and his facist agenda. |

I really shouldn't bother but, why not-
"Justice Not War": Well, how many criminals really give up without a fight. Sadaam can turn himself, his weapons and his hench men in at any time. Nobody is preventing him. Somewhere you to know this is true. Sometime, you have to get tough to get justice served (Have you ever seen COPS on tv?)
"The war on terroism is terroism": Is it? I think our armed forces tend to avoid civialian damage in conflicts they are engaged in as much as possible. In fact we have the most accurate weapons, very expensive, to ever be used in combat. I think if we were really adopting the strategy of the terroists we could easily achieve much higher civialian casulty numbers since these would now be our targets. We could also do it with much cheaper weapons. Now, if we are using this strategy, as your sign seems to suggest, then we are doing the worst job of intentional killing innocent civialians to make a political statement in history.
"Powell's Eviedence": Is this really the best you can do. I am guessing this doesn't legitamize your arguement (oh, what arguement) with the people you are trying to persway.
"War does not bring peace": No it only liberated France, Stopped Hitler, defeated slavery in the US, and removed those Taliban from Afganistan. "But wait, there's more!"
lets not forget that the threat of war has keep that other crazy bastard in North Korea from attacking the South for the last 50 year, stopped the USSR and helped bring down the Berlin wall. Humm....
"Prodo Failed Bush has the ring": Well, who can say anything about that one besides that movie was too damm long.
Keep it up Lemmings. Dance, dress up whatever it is you do that you think will bring about peace just know that you are just helping prolong the life of one history's worst dictators . I plan to place my prospects for peace with the US ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE, MARINES, COAST GUARD. History seems to side with them. God bless them all.

Ron,
It is great to see another American on this site. Welcome. The fact that SADDAAM took the time to thank these freaks for the aid and comfort they provide, I think it says it all. I see AWARE out theire and I must say: Don't you people have jobs, homes, etc.
Anyway Ron, keep it up. These spoiled little pukes take advantage of the freedoms of those who gave their lives to insure it and mock the graves of our heroic dead. Anyway, SADDAAM, we're coming soon. God Bless America!!!
