Labor Against War is just one organization that is speaking out against the War on Iraq. And there will be dozens of organizations, union groups, and individuals who take to the streets of downtown St. Louis to speak out against the occupation.
Charlie King, Ann Feeny, Bottle Neck Blues, and Karen Brandow will be signing their way to peace while the main speakers will include Nadia McCaffery and James Thindwa. McCaffrey is a Gold Star Mother for Peace whose son, Patrick, was killed in Iraq in June of 2004. She first made news when she agreed to have her son's returning coffin photographed as it landed in the United States. James Thindwa is the executive director for Jobs with Justice in Chicago.
The march will be be only several blocks, ending at the grand staircase of the Gateway Arch. See the Instead of War (http://www.insteadofwar.org) website for more information, or call (314)960-0705.
