You really have to stop and think where these conspiracy stories come from, otherwise you'll liable to be counter-spun by hate-groups like the WCOTC. |
The "Reverend" Dr. Matt Hale has produced a book which places the blame for 9/11 squarely on the "Jews." Mr. Hale just happpens to be the "Pontifex Maximus" of the World Church of the Creator (WCOTC) - a very large Christian, white supremacist organization.
Apparently, the Aryan strategy is to doubt every fact about 9/11 by throwing as much crap around as they can, assuming some will stick. Some of it is amazingly absurd, which no doubt will make you chuckle.

Except when they pretend to be anti-racists in IMC posts transparently designed to spread, rather than condemn, their message. They've been doing that around the IMCs for a few weeks, so it shouldn't be a surprise that it hit here too.
Actually, except them any other time either; they're a pretty dumb lot as a whole.

No other Indymedia has hidden this article and on some sites it has generated positive (anti-nazi) feedback. By hiding a legitimate story it only calls into question your ethics. You wouldn't hide a story about AIDS or child abuse or any other disturbing topic, so why ignore White Supremacy?
There are really people using 9/11 for truly evil purposes and indymedia, of all places, is sweeping the story under the rug?

You IMC people are either the most thickheaded do-gooders I've ever met or you're actually somehow involved in this subversive kkkrap peddling.

Now that article will never be hidden, but I, who try to call attention to the sickness that is slowly spreading across indymedia, am silenced -- what the hell are you trying to do? Your policies are so backward -- hate speech is guaranteed and whistle-blowers are swept under the carpet. Is this what you teach your kids?
If any of you pull your head out of the sand long enough to read, I'd suggest going over to the Baltimore or DC sites and read about their run-ins with the boys-in-hoods. Then skip over to tolerance.org or anti-fascism.org and brush-up on skinhead tactics. When you've braced yourself for the truth, take a look at the WCOTC or National Alliance sites and then try to act so damned arrogant! |

If you check our archives, you'll see that Matt Hale has been discussed several times on these pages. In fact, I think that UCIMC may be the only IMC board to post the news that Hale, this July, lost a trademark infringement suit and can no longer legally call him his organization "World Church of the Creator." An exclusive!
What's more, you'll also discover the coverage of Matt Hale's appearance last winter at the Champaign Public Library, in which I was honored to remind the crowd -- to Hale's displeasure -- that the founder of the COTC, Ben Klassen, ended up committing suicide.
CU also had an encounter with one of Hale's disciples, Ben Smith; in his infamous two-state shooting spree, he paid a visit to CU on his little tour and shot an Asian student in the leg.
Since Hale lives not too far from here -- in his papa's basement, I'm told -- even the local commercial media note when Hale loses another round in his legal quest to practice law in Illinois (he has a law degree, but the Illinois Bar Association quite rationally felt he was of insufficient character and refused to seat him).
The deeper issue is that there is what I believe -- and I'm not much given to ornate conspiracy theories -- that members of the Nazional Annoyance (not the piss-ants of WCOTC, judging from the looks of them) are indeed using the IMCs to spread their word. They have also learned that the sites where their posts would remain unpulled is very small (at the moment, that would probably only be the cesspool of IMC-Palestine). Having dealt with these guys for about seven years in alt.revisionism, I know their tricks, and that includes false-face posts full of (a) mock shock and horror and, more importantly, (b) URLs.
