The red Herring Vegetarian Restaurant is now Open! |

I am posting this to announce the re opening of the Red Herring Vegetarian Restaurant! We opened Monday the 9th and are serving Lunch Monday - Friday from 11 AM - 3 PM.
The restaurant is 100% Vegan and much of the food is organic. Some of the food is locally grown as well and I am working hard to increase that as well.
We need customers and volunteers to help serve the customers! Volunteers are paid with food as well as the paid staff of 6 - 10 as we expand this semester and expand the items we offer and variety of services such as catering, to go sandwiches , and would like to develop many of the services we are capable of doing.
So, do come to 1209 W Oregon Street in Urbana at the corner of Matthews and Oregon in the basement of the channing - murray foundation and enjoy the air conditioned comfort of dining in the wonderful red herring!
Every day we offer a entree , soups, sandwiches, cookies , juice , etc.
and everything is 100% vegan

I am Michael Walcher and helping to manage the red herring, I would like to begin the friday night pasta night soon along with all other ideas of expanding the offerings of the restaurant.
Also soon I will have the website up with currnet information and a email list for ongoing discussion.
