It is sad that in all the years of injustice in the United Statesagainsted different ethnic groups that we have learned so little. Time and time again the popular majority has backed a minority into a cornor and been appaled when there is a back lash. Do we really want another version of the LA roits through out america? I have always been an advocate of peace and justice, the supposed Americen way. From what i hear from the family of Ahmad Bensouda he is much the same. A peace loving, gentel man who had the courage to speak against the actions of our government and the actions of our counterparts (Israel) during the time where that voice was needed most. Yet he is branded as a threat because he does not stand with "us". I guess this is the new version of "Selective Democracy" that americe has adopted. If this is the path of injustice that we are about to embrace then we are only serving the same ideals as thoes we are attempting to undo. |
