Your support needed at the Champaign City Council Meeting tonight, as Earth Doctors and Students for Environmental Concerns fight for recycling throughout Champaign. Sign up to speak at the beginning of the meeting. Speak on how the lack of recycling has affected you, why we need it in Champaign, lengths you go through to recycle, ANYTHING! 102 North Neil in Champaign. PLEASE ATTEND!! |
The recycling program in Urbana was actually modeled after a program that Champaign USED to have. Now, however, any housing with over four units, most apartment complex, student housing, and large-family or multi-family houses, receive NO recycling pickup.
Thus, on one side of Wright Street, every housing unit gets full recycling pickup, while the other side does not. Come to the Council meeting at 7pm TODAY at 102 North Neil to let the Council know that their reasons for not addressing recycling are invalid! |
