Champaign City Council Meeting
Tuesday, April 16, 7pm
Champaign City Council chambers, 102 N. Neil, downtown Champaign
Currently, the City of Champaign does not provide recycling pick-up for its residents. Instead, city ordinance requires private garbage haulers to provide recycling services to homes of 4 units or less. This means most
apartments, Greek housing, and private housing do not receive recycling pick-up. To amend this ordinance to include all types of housing regardless of size, the award-winning UIUC student organization Earth Doctors plans to address the Champaign City Council on Tuesday, April 16 at 7pm.
Regardless of whether you live in Champaign or Urbana, this issue is very important locally. Please join Earth Doctors in voicing your opinions to the Champaign City Council to gain their support for multifamily/apartment recycling in Champaign.

I can't attend this meeting but I sent an email to the mayor and city council in support. If you want to do the same, the address I found was on the city of champaign's website.
Council (at) ci.champaign.il.us
If you can't go and show your support, email your support to back up those who do attend.
The other council members individual address are on the city site as well. See
