So what's the alternative?
"Every single time these numbers have been achieved, extraordinary peace and prosperity has resulted,' Collins said. 'It’s never failed. The research is out there, and the results have been published in leading scientific journals. I would hope Defense Secretary Rumsfeld would look at this research and say, ‘What have we got to lose?’ It’s like an insurance policy. We have to do things now to protect our way of life. I see all this evidence that this approach works, and I just think we need to get the word out."

Easily Identifiable Spam |

There's really not much to picking this crap out. Persistent themes of conspiracy, without the facts to support it. Posted to IMCs in approximately the order of the list of IMCs on the left of this page in a time/date order that indicates that quantity of spam production is more important than quality of the material. Often sent by the same small cast of posters, who appear to be either coordinating their actions or who may simply be the same persom, posing as different posters. There should be a simple formula to suss out this crap and hide it.
There is the possibility that an occasional post that is unrelated could be hidden by accident....
But that will only happen if someone is pushing flaky right-wing conspiracy theory also. No great loss to a progressive website. |
One More Identifying Charateristic |

Another trait that is almost always a part of easily identifiable IMC network spam is the promotion of a certain small group of websites as an intrinsic part of the plan. In other words, the objective they seem to hope to acheive by spamming all IMCs is to use the IMC network as free advertising for said websites. This is another way in which these self-promoters violate already established IMC editorial priniciples, making it easy to call these jerks out if we can generate the consensus that this behavior is antithetical to the IMC mission. |
