The U.S. flag and its colors are being used in an attempt to whip up patriotism and convince people that there is a "ground swell" of support for the U.S.'s "War on terrorism". People who want to express their grief for the victims of the 9/11 attacks, as well as the victims of the current bombing campaign against Afghanistan, should put down their flag and instead take up the GREEN & BLACK campaign |
WHAT CAN YOU RAISE INSTEAD OF THE U.S. FLAG?
--WEAR GREEN AND BLACK
The U.S. flag and its colors are being used in an attempt to whip up patriotism and convince people that there is a "ground swell" of support for the U.S.'s "War on terrorism". People who want to express their grief for the victims of the 9/11 attacks, as well as the victims of the current bombing campaign against Afghanistan, should put down their flag and instead take up the GREEN & BLACK campaign
GREEN has been used in areas around the country to support people who come under racist attacks. It identifies us as allies so that people know who to go to for protection should they need it.
BLACK symbolizes loss of life, sadness, mourning. In this case, the loss of life of thousands in the 9/11 attacks, the current bombing raids, as well as the thousands more innocent people who die at the hands of U.S. imperialism around the world every day.
We call on you to stand with the people of the world against this war
WEAR GREEN AND BLACK!

Even better, get the flag over at adbusters.com. It's a flag that has u.s. corporate logos for the stars, and the same ol' stripes.
wouldn't that be fun to have a bunch of them being waved all over the place and on our cars?!!!!! |
