The U.S. bombing of Afghanistan has begun. AWARE, a community alliance dedicated to promoting the least violent U.S. response to the September eleventh attacks will hold a meeting this evening (Sunday, October 7) to evaluate the U.S. response and provide citizen feedback. The meeting of AWARE, the Anti-War, Anti-Racism Effort, takes place at 6 p.m. tonight at the University YMCA, which is at 1006 S. Wright Street, Champaign. Call 637-5000 for more information. |

It seems to me that we should have on the agenda immediate response to the bombing this evening maybe after the meeting we can all gather at some place that represents peace to all in the community, maybe withing walking distance of the YMCA, and try to get the media there.
