The Coordinated Effort for the Reporting of Rights Violations (CERRV, phonetically: serve) is recruiting individuals who can assist in transcription to and from English and French, L. Spanish, and Arabic.
The Coordinated Effort for the Reporting of Rights Violations (CERRV, phonetically: serve) is recruiting individuals who can assist in transcription to and from English and French, L. Spanish, and Arabic.

CERRV is a global network of Human Rights activists who monitor reports of and developments in rights violations across the globe. CERRV opertates through various NGOs, independent reporting organizations, and independent media outlets in order to bring unrecognized violations to the global consciousness.

We are always looking for volunteers, and even if you cannot transcribe, but would still like to assist, please contact me. We are especially in need of additional individuals who have experience with broad-scope information dissemination.

Who is CEERV?

I tried to find information about CEERV and come up entirely empty. Where is this project headquartered? Who are all the other activists in the network?

Muck Raker:

Hi. Thanks for your interest. CEERV isn't "headquartered" anywhere. It is a coordinated effort (CE) among fragmented but dedicated groups of volunteers already working around the globe in the effort of the reporting of rights violations (ERV).

Dissemination of news about violations are spotty at best, because of the relatively decentralized operations of most groups. Only the larger, more resource rich NGOs have the ability to outlet info widely. CEERV is currently an umbrella organization for about 10 groups, all based outside the US, though we will be incorporating more.

Because of the sensitive political situation some of the activists are in, I am uncomfortable publishing names in this forum. If you need other information, contact me privately, and we can talk about it.

CEERV can be "headquartered" on your PC, if you'd like. We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to cull, compile, translate, and do original research (even field work, though you must fund yourself at this point).

Again, thanks for your interest! Channel your muck racking energies into something positive!
