If you had stuff/gear/art/etc stashed at the IMC, please check-out the pile of stuff in the Gallery ASAP! |
An intrepid crew of IMCistas waded into the mess in the librarian/storage space at the IMC on Saturday. They picked out broken glass, recycled, and generally tiied up the premises, making the IMC a much more inviting place to be in. When all was done, there was a bunch of computer parts, art, general crap, etc that was stacked up in the Gallery space along the north wall underneath the fuse panels. This stuff may be of some value to some people, but it's outlived it's usefulnesss at the IMC and is just taking up space.
Please look through this pile in the Gallery if you have anything that you want to reclaim. Those who can recycle any of it are welcome to help themselves to anything in this pile -- with the sole provision that it MUST BE REMOVED from the IMC. On Friday, what is left is subject to being landfilled and the IMC assumes no responsiblity for what happens to it if you haven't picked your treasures up by then.
We want the IMC to be clean and tidy for these upcoming events:
IMC General Orientation
Saturday July 17th 3-5pm
Learn about the history and structure of the UCIMC and how you, yes you, can become more involved with the IMC.
IMC Staff Training
Monday July 19th 7-8pm
Duties and expections for IMC volunteer staffers will be covered. There are currently many two or three hour shifts in need of
staffing.
