I'm making a stack of "Fahrenheit 9/11" shirts.

I'm going to make a few "Fahrenheit 9/11" shirts today with the above image on it (I called Boardman's, and they said they will be showing the film until July 22). I've been asked about my shirt by several people around Champaign-Urbana who seemed to want one (on campus, at the mall (by an employee), and at the cinema, even by the manager who said my shirt was a good idea). If you would like a shirt, let me know.

By the way, I've looked online for mass-marketed shirts and can't find any.

First off, isn't this a copywright violation? Secondly, this obsession with this movie is nothing short of bizarre. What kind of nut is going to wear, on their body, the above uninspiring piece of advertising? I mean, no logo? Just text? Weird.

I must admit a T-Shirt is a very novel idea. No one would ever think of that. And may I add that the design you have chosen is very colorful.

Did you happen to notice that ticket sales for the movie dropped 50% of prior week? You better hurry tr4nqued, it would appear that interest in this movie is plummeting faster than a liberal economy.

I must admit that I am glad to see that the entrepenurial spirit still exists among my friends from the "way left". If you can make a buck off of this, I am all for it.

Majority of Adults Expect to See Fahrenheit 9/11

Democrats, Republicans express sharply divided views

GALLUP NEWS SERVICE

PRINCETON, NJ -- According to the most recent Gallup survey, more than half of all American adults (56%) either have seen or expect, at some time, to see Michael Moore's controversial movie, Fahrenheit 9/11, a highly critical look at the Bush administration's decision to fight a war in Iraq. The poll was conducted July 8-11. At the time, 8% of Americans said they have already seen the movie, 18% expected to see it in the theater, and 30% expected to watch the video. Among all Americans, more people have an unfavorable than favorable impression of the movie, but those who have seen it are overwhelmingly favorable.

Intentions to see the film are highly related to people's political party orientation, but the survey shows that even a significant number of Republicans -- 38% -- have seen or plan to see the documentary despite its critical stance toward Bush. More than 7 in 10 Democrats (71%) and 6 in 10 independents (60%) also have seen or expect to see the film, with about half of each of these groups planning to see it in a theater and the other half on video.
