Angie interviews Jimmy Hoffa |
|
Jimmy Hoffa, president of the Teamster’s Union, disappeared without a trace on July 30, 1975. Jimmy Hoffa led the teamsters from 1957 to 1971. From the beginning, he had been instrumental in unionizing workers and had been the brains and guts behind its success. It was alleged that he had ties to organized crime. He admitted that liaisons with the Mob were needed, because they had the power to disrupt strikes, so deals had to be made with them. The federal investigators pursued him in the 1950’s & ‘60’s without much success at first, "charging that his empire thrived on violence, fraud and misuse of union money."
as this took me months to track down the elusive Jimmy Hoffa, my first thoughts where what have you been doing all this time. jimmy smiles and said I have been doing any number of things, I worked in a Los Vegas
gas station for a year and a half before the tabloids got onto my trail then
I managed a motel in Miami for eight years. and for the last seven years I have been one of the flying Elvi skydiving team. I was on the first gong show and I was a walk on for the love boat!buy for the most part I have been a member of Beach Blanket Babalon. "I just love those big hats" stated hoffa as he adjusted his evening gown. I have made a major life style change here. "Ihave gone Metro" hoffa added. and San Francisco is where I now call home. So look for me on the Castro boys.hoffa said as he hung up the phone. I feel honored and privlaged that jimmy trusted me of all journalists to talk to. I am planning a serries of hard hitting articles like this one to jumpstart my new career in journalisom. (that waitress job at stuckies can kiss my ass) so stay tuned for my next article. |
