It has been announced that Jesse Helms will NOT run for a seventh term. A news conference will be held tomorrow to make it official.
No word from the Devil himself on whether he wants to recruit Helms soon, but the Devil did say that he looks forward to working with Strom Thurmond in the near future. |

Pres. Select Bush called Jesse Helms a "champion of democracy". I guess that makes all those death squad types that Jesse loves to cozy up to champions, too. |
