Carlo Giuliani shooting - most complete sequence of pictures, in *.pdf format. Current rating: 0

I believe this makes what has happened clearer, and supports the position that the shooting clearly does not qualifiy as justifiable homicide under the Italian legal codes. Available as a powerpoint file, which you may be able view with MS internet explorer at Indymedia Italy.

This slideshow is helpful in understanding what happened before and after
Carlo Giuliani was shot, but I still have a lot of questions:

Who wrote the photo captions? The photographer? Someone else?
I ask because sometimes the captions appear to contain eye-witness
information; other times, the photo interpretation appears to be
guess-work.

How much time passed between consecutive photos?

Do the photos come from video, film, or a digital camera? Are there more photos in the sequence?

Some people say that it was a 30-pound fire extinguisher that Carlo
held. It does not LOOK like a 30-pound fire extinguisher to me, but I
have never weighed a fire extinguisher. Is it "known" from the photo
evidence alone that the extinguisher weighed that much, or was someone
able to lift it, examine it, or weigh it?

Obviously the photographed events did not occur in silence. Did the police in the jeep speak to the protesters? Did the protesters speak to the police? What did they say?

What justifies homicide under Italian law? What is the Carabinieri's training for the use of deadly force?

Who are the Carabinieri? Are they police? Soldiers? Reserve soldiers?
Do they ordinarily patrol in Genoa?
