This morning, community members gathered in muggy downtown Urbana to express their reactions to the killing of Carlo Giuliani, an activist killed by police while protesting against global capitalism in Genoa, Italy on July 20.

This morning's demonstration lamenting the death of the demonstrator (Giuliani) in Genoa was a sad undertaking to which IMC rose with power, alacrity and grace. What was said was powerful and to the point. I'd suggest we respond with the same speed as events of importance like this occur. Don't let them rest. Beautiful job, beautiful peoplel. Thanks. |
