With the purchase and conversation of the post office building into a community media & arts center, the IMC is expanding its staff to meet increased demand.
The IMC is seeking dedicated individuals with a minimum of one year commitment, to help support our growing center.

The decision to pay people to help with essential housekeeping tasks that we have a difficult or impossible time getting enough volunteers for was taken long ago by this IMC. It's not for lack of volunteers -- we have hundreds of members -- but due to the nature of certain essential work. It's been discussed before on the appropriate lists, which is where such concerns should appropriately be taken up.
For those coming in late or in too much of a hurry to dump and run without reading our website use guidelines, please be aware that philosophical discussions about the nature of work in the Indymedia network are off topic in this post. In general, we don't have discussions such as this on any aspect of our work on our Newswire. They take place on the relevant email list (or even more usually, in F2F meetings). You're invited to join the conversation there, if you wish.
