Weekends are times alloted for wage-slaves and deeply duped "students" to have a bit of prescribed "letting loose" within Given corralls. Saturday night, amid swarming police cars, a lone "seasoned" challenger messed with people's daze in most interesting wayz. |
|
Champaign--A solitary self-styled "seasoned challenger" visited the UI campus area Saturday night with a recently inspired desire to pass out "broad information that might be POWERFUL to you." (see text at bottom)
"I went back to the old haunts of this wild guy I used to know who used to go in there and dress up with these giant boobs and tights," the man said nostagically. "That cat used to totally mess with the devoutly 'Normal'; and since he definitely didn't fit the image of a Drag Queen, people didn't know what to think."
The anonymous man is talking about the notorious Karen Elliot, a 6-foot-plus, wildly-haired giant guy with a big nose who used to be a regular to Champaign weekend partiers, wearing skimpy tights, sporting gel-filled boobs, and letting loose with Schiz-flux neoist theories upon anyone who tried to fuck with him.
"That dude really had some BALLS, and used to tell us stories about people he succeeded in messing with. I saw his method as a kind of self-process, while being a little too abstract for my own tastes. He's sorely missed around here, but I'm sure he's up to his wildly abstract antics elsewhere. In the meanwhile, his traces remains with a few of us around here who still have the SPIRIT to creatively interact."
With an old, but still brightly flourescent sign (with messages on both sides reading: "REALIZE THE VALUE OF BEING BEAUTIFUL WITH EACH OTHER" and "THOUGHT CONTROL IS TO U.S. SOCIETY WHAT VIOLENCE IS TO TYRANNY"), the challenger had decided to go out after being inspired by watching a video documentary about a certain pretty deep-thinking "seriously seasoned" thinker--John Trudell.(1)
"I'd watched the video with a friend earlier, and he inspired me and I just felt like it might be meaningful to go out and get out of my cave!"
Responses
"Some of the half-drunken students thought I was one of those religionists that people are seeing all over the place these days, and they were yelling 'Jesus loves you' or something in their drunken indomitableness from across the street. I went right over there and showed them what my sign really said, and then found myself in the middle of a the best interaction I'd had all night."
Someone else wanted to know what his point was, and he began laying down the broadness of his message.
"I've been basically coming from the angle about the 'War of Everyday Life' and pointing out how WE'RE ALL BEING WARRED UPON by every institutionalized mindset. The Leftoids (not to mention the Rightoids) just haven't seemed to figure the value of this method out, and they talk in the same, dulled-down monotone of war somewhere else, which just isn't as inclusive and inspiring as what I see needs to be done."
The flyer passed out (feel free to add your own and pass out everywhere!):
In case you didnât knowâŚ
âWhen I go around in America and I see the bulk of the White People, they do not feel oppressed-they feel powerlessâŚWe see the physical genocide that they are attempting to inflict upon [American Indians], and we understand the psychological genocide that they have already inflicted upon their own peopleâŚâ-John Trudell, Santee-Sioux spokenword artist who lost his entire family, including 3 young daughters, to a very suspicious fire at the height of the âcointelproâ era (an FBI program which illegally attacked a huge variety of legal dissent).
