At the next Green Tea we will come up with the Top 10 Reason We Hate President Bush. Share the reasons you hate or generally dislike W. Together we will create a list. |
Let's have a bit of fun at the next Green Tea. And do some therapeutic venting.
A the next Green Tea we will come up with the Top 10 Reason We Hate President Bush. Share the reasons you hate or generally dislike W. Together we will create a list.
It will be good to get together and share our dislike of our unelected, Supreme Court selected, oil company dividend driven, war killing loving, forget the poor go for the tax cut Maximum Leader.
And tea will be served!
All are welcome. Green Teas are on the third Wednesday of the month (Oct. 15) at 7:00 PM. They are held at the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center at 218 W. Main St., Suite 110 Urbana. This is between Strawberry Fields and The Office bar. We meet in the middle meeting room / art gallery. |

Gee, that's constructive. Here are some alternatives:
(a) Brainstorm 10 ways the 9/11 catastrophe could have been better handled by the administration.
(b) Brainstorm 10 steps you would like to see President Bush (or his successor) take in order to make things better in
(c) Brainstorm 10 laws you'd like to see enacted to keep things like from happening again.
(d) Brainstorm 9 reasons many people tend to shy away from vitriolic progressive groups. |

The idea that the only alternative reaction to the attacks of Sept. 11 was exactly what Bush did is an example of the same kind of violent fanaticism that drove those who hijacked and flew the airplanes that day.
I think I'd prefer to discuss the many alternatives, just as I'd rather drink green tea than suck on Pentagon pablum. |

I didn't read (a) in the first comment as implying that Bush chose the only alternative after 9/11. FWIW, I agree with the comment. I certainly would never attend a discussion whose stated aim was to "come up with reasons to hate." |

Remember this Green Tea is supposed to be fun! Not to be taken seriously. And if I can vent some negetive feelings without harming anyone all the better.
I've heard many progressive people, nearly burned out, saying that we don't get together enought just to have fun. So let's not work on solving any issue or ask for any volunteers for anything and have fun.

Wow, getting together to determine reasons to hate someone. Pretty progressive attitude there. May I suggest that instead of Green Tea, why not try Grape Coolaid instead. |
