A call for information and assistance from the witnesses of an incident of heartbreaking animal cruelty. |
Longtime Champaign residents Mark and Nancy Rubel recently witnessed an incident of extreme animal cruelty--a dog beaten to death with a two-by-four, in broad daylight with children present, in a residential area not far from their home.
They have information which they hope will lead to the arrest of the perpetrator of this act of violence, and they request that anyone with information or resources from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or from other animal-rights activist groups contact them:

A side note:
Mark and Nancy have for years been benefactors to many, many stray animals in downtown Champaign, often housing, feeding and caring for them in their own home.
