Stealth Board Members Of Provena Covenant Are Revealed |

Board of Directors are revealed in this article.

In the past, Diane Friedman, the CEO of Provena Covenant
Medical Center in Urbana, Illinois, refused to reveal the
identities of the local Board of Directors of the same
organization to local community organizations, clients,
or members of the press. Because many members of the
community and some staff members had concerns with the
policies and priorities of top management at this
organization, the veil of secrecy surrounding the
identities of the Board Members was viewed as an impediment
to resolving many of these concerns. Normally, the Board
Members of an organization are able to exercise some
influence over the policies that are implemented by top
management. Furthermore, by keeping the identities of
Board Members a secret, there is the risk of cronyism
and conflicts of interest occurring that may not be in
the best interest of either Provena Covenant or members
of the community.

Wow, you are a slueth. Figuring out who was on Provena's board really took some effort. How about picking up a copy of their annual audit. Or, waiting outside the parking lot during their board meetings. Or better yet, ask anyone of the physicians at Christie.

Jack,
It's better to persuade people to do the right thing using the power of reason and logic within the context of a public forum -- even if it takes a little longer. This reduces the likelihood of similar problems occurring in the future as a result of a fundamental shift in policy.
Regarding Osama: He's not my concern. Ask the CIA/Pentagon/Homeland Security/Blah-Blah-Blah Dept. about his whereabouts if this is of any real interest to you.
