Report on consumers' meeting with Sen. Rick Winkel in Springfield
Representatives of the Women's Health Task Force are traveling to Springfield tomorrow (Wednesday, April 30th) to meet with Senator Rick Winkel to discuss his position on HB 211 - Contraceptive Equity in Health Insurance. The Task Force's delegation will be reporting back from the meeting at a press conference on Wednesday at 3p.m. in the CCHCC office.
Senator Winkel has not yet declared his support for the legislation despite overwhelming support from residents of his district who are eager to hear his position. Representatives of the Task Force will encourage him to support the legislation and hope to return to C-U with a commitment from the Senator to vote YES on HB 211.
The WHTF delegation will also be delivering to Senator Winkel A LETTER FROM UIUC CHANCELLOR NANCY CANTOR URGING HIM TO SUPPORT THE LEGISLATION, the names of over 400 residents of his district in support of the legislation, and (as a token of their appreciation for meeting with them) chocolate candies in the shape of birth control pill packs.
To encourage Sen. Winkel to vote YES on HB 211, email rickwinkel (at) rickwinkel.com or call his office at (217) 328-0400. Please copy brooke (at) shout.net on all correspondence.
BACKGROUND: Under House Bill 211, insurance plans that cover prescription drugs would be prohibited from excluding prescription contraceptives from that coverage. HB 211 passed the IL House in March and will go before the Senate for full consideration in the next two weeks.

While your there, what other things would you like Rep. Winkel to mandate? How about liposuction, nose jobs or hair transplants?
As an employer, if you continue to mandate particular coverages and prescriptions, we will no longer able to afford group health plans. These continued mandates will force employers to ask employees to pay more for there own health insurance. I know you guys don't want that.
Continued Mandates will force employers out of the Health Insurance Business altogether leaving individuals to fend for themselves. You could probably afford to buy individual coverage if you were healthy. What do you do when you are sick and therefore uninsurable? You libs are making demands with checks you do not write. Nothing new there.

All that time I spent in the hospital came out of my pocket, all those years I paid into insurance. I worked hard my whole life, which is why I deserved quality health care. That's the privilege of busting your ass to actually earn a living.
Don't want to work? Don't get sick.

Dear Imposter Boy,
Why not argue you the point instead of being such no good waste of space.
