This looks like the unfortunate circumstance that occurs when an IMC is allowed to be taken over by a single group whose only interest is to impose a particular party line on the operations of the IMC. An IMC like this, which is what IMC-Palestine became soon after it was founded, tends to drive away everyone except those who toe a narrow party line and the wackos.
The fact that it took 11 days after the site went completely belly-up for someone who claims to speak for the IMCP collective to step forward shows that "no one is minding the store" there. They apparently have other, more important things to do than keep IMCP functioning. Even more damning is that the site has steadily lost functionality over the last six months or so, which no one seemed the least bit concerned about. All this is indicative of a non-functioning collective and, thus, an IMC that simply is not operating within the principles of the IMC network.
My personal view is that IMC-Palestine, as it is, should be allowed to expire. It has become nothing but the playground for neo-Nazis and other hate groups pushing their personal agendas.
When a diverse group comes forward that truly intends to live up to the principles of the IMC network, it should be assisted in reconstituting a truly independent Palestine IMC. |
