Art Night: linking hands, heart and mind

Art Night is a collaborative effort of graduate student organizations at UIUC who felt it was time to break through the traditional, exclusionary academic environment and create an event that gave space to all the incredible student, faculty and community talent in Champaign-Urbana.
Art Night 2006: Music, Food, Dancing, Paintings, Photography, Poetry-Reading and more
-Open-Mic and Pot Luck
When: Saturday, March 11th
Where: McKinley Foundation, 2nd floor
809 S. 5th Street, Champaign
6pm-9pm
-With special guest John Jennings, giving a talk "MOVE! the power of art and politics". John Jennings is an Illinois-based designer, illustrator, writer, lecturer, and art educator. Jennings is active in the Champaign community and experiments
with artistic statements that address social and political concerns.
-Children are Welcome! There will be a children's art center for the whole family to attend.
-No Coke Products, please. We're honoring the Anti-Coke Campaign.
-If you're a dancer, singer, artist, photographer or
sculptor, Art Night is the event for you!
-The event is free and open to all community members.
