For those that haven't heard Matt read before, it's a truly delightful experience. Thought provoking, deeply sensitive, his poems have so much of his heart in them, like a hand-turned bowl or that sweater from your grandmother that you wear until there's nothing left of it. His readings are always a nice mix of dark and light, with plenty of humour thrown in. He also spends some time explaining his process and choices of subjects, and is open to questions, so it's easy to attend if you're new to poetry readings. |
