Mr. Tom Silverstein did the most horrible crime that one can do to another yes. There is no other crime I would consider more horrible. Although severe, and sadly and unfortunately the Correction Officers family will never hold or see him again and with no disrespect to this Correction Officers family. Does the life of one human have more worth than others? What if this human is a Correction Officer there self does this add to ones worth? Tom Silverstein killed a Correction Officer yes and he has been sent to a life with can only be thought as a living hell worse than death living with 24 hour a day light and only the sound heard is from the humming from the lights no contact from a living thing 60 feet below and behind three steel doors that seal him from the living what I can only thank of what would be like a mausoleum. Now I believe Mr. Silverstein should be locked up for the rest of his life in what I and all the others that pay taxes know as a SUPER MAX. Locked down for 23 hours a day but treated with some kind of human presents. Now the only reason I have brought the whole deal about the worth is that Mr. Silverstein is not the only inmate that has killed a Correction Officer. I am not defending Tommy Silverstein by any means; I would only like to see our system be a little bit more civilized. If one had time look up the name Donna Payant and how the system worked there.
In closing.
Know that my thoughts are with both Officer Klutz, and Officer Donna Payant families and this only the thoughts of a man and former Officer that knows little about either of these horrible crimes. |
