The New York Times has an article today about Costco, a Wal-Mart competitor that compensates its employees fairly and still manages to attract investors with its bottom line.
With the new Megalo-Wal-Mart about to open in Champaign, and another in the pipe in East Urbana, the question suggests itself: if Urbana needs to bring in another megastore to bolster its economy, why not one that more closely reflects the character of our community? |
