As a fellow Marxist, it appears that Phil M. is the kind of Marxist that gives the rest of us a bad name.
I have worked successfully with anarchists and find that their critical position tends to help build movements, unlike the position of Phil. I think that Marxists and anarchists need each other now and after any revolution. It is pointless and juvenile for Phil to attack anarchists as he does above.
Which is not to say that a few of the things he brings up do warrant further discussion. But the sense of heightened and exaggerated conflict that he seeks to stir up with his work is more destructive than helpful. |
