A sticker proclaiming "I voted"
was worn on a jacket and noted
"It counted" was not
on the sticker one got
save a clique of electors, who gloated
[here's hoping for a wide margin, whoever wins ...] |

and yet, the Electoral College is the only thing that could put bush out of office as now, at 2:15AM... people seem content to let the election drag on... even though he has a 3.8million person lead... |

Right, and we're *still* in that situation now, at 9:20 AM. This system is absurd. Bush won the popular vote, so he ought to be declared the winner. But we are still haggling about electoral college votes. |

you are probably right joe...
I honestly think most states should move to a district system.. where you win a representative district, you get a vote....
I am glad the dems didn't drag this one out... it was obviously over late last night... the last thing this country needs is another florida.... i would like to say that i wish the country could accept Bush won and move on, but it won't... i knew 6 months ago it was gonna be hell (regardless of who won) till 2008... lets hope for better then... |

I think we should just directly elect the president by popular vote. A district system would just create the same problems we have in congressional elections with gerrymandering districts, only on a much larger scale. |

Jack, I'm saying: one person, one vote.
Which part of that don't you understand? ;) |
