Wow ! the pig started the massacre after at least 1,500 protesters gathered outside a police station in Narathiwat province to protest the arrest of six men.
The new death toll was announced in a press conference held by the Thai justice ministry in the southern province of Pattani.
"After we brought more people into detention, we found that another 78 people were dead from our fire," ministry spokesman Manit Suthaporn told reporters.
The new figure is in addition to the six protesters who were reported to have been killed previously |
