U-C Books to Prisoners Project publishes prisoner writings on the web! |
When we send books to prisoners, we want them to know that they are not invisible, that we haven't forgotten them. Some of us want to abolish prisons. Others simply want human rights to be respected everywhere... including prisons.
Either way, we want prisoner voices to be heard. That is why when we send packages , we encourage prisoners to send us their writings and art so that others won't forget them.
U-C Books to Prisoners is proud to have started its publishing of prisoner writings! You can find them at: http://www.spinelessbooks.com/prisoners/index.html
Congratulations to T.D. Alexander and John Searles for getting published. And congratulations to William Guillespie and Spineless Books for making this happen!
U-C Books to Prisoners is a project of the U-C IMC Librar Working Group.
