This news from NYC as of Tuesday evening at midnight:
The Democracy Now! staff is a quarter mile from ground zero at our studio in exile in southern Manhattan. The area is locked down so we are staying overnight in our studios. Outside, police, marines, and national guard patrol the area, as they begin the search and rescue mission 6 blocks below us at what used to be the World Trade Center towers. |
